A practical way to get started
We plan to offer used Baicells Neutrino 220 Band 40 femtocells for hobbyists, learners and small labs. The radio is sold outright. We will confirm the unit's condition, supported configuration and included accessories before sale.
Choose a core configured for your own compatible computer or VM, or use a hosted core service from Lodestar.
Run your own core
We configure an LTE core for your compatible computer or VM and help connect the agreed radio. You run it yourself and keep control of its configuration and subscriber records. Compute hardware is separate.
Use a hosted core
Connect your femtocell to a Lodestar-hosted core over your broadband connection. The planned service starts with LTE data; voice and messaging can be assessed separately.
The final package will explain whether you have a separate core instance or access to shared Lodestar infrastructure, along with the available controls and included usage.
What else you need
You will need compatible devices, suitable power and backhaul, SIMs and the appropriate spectrum authorisation for the installation. Licence fees, SIMs and delivery are separate from the prices below.
We will publish a supported equipment list and clear setup instructions before launch. Help beyond the included onboarding will be available as separately scoped engineering.
Spectrum and compatible equipment
Any radio installation needs the appropriate spectrum authorisation for its location, power and intended use. We will assess the licensing route and device compatibility before recommending equipment.
Innovation and Research or Demonstration and Trial licences may suit an agreed test or demonstration. A permanent operational service needs suitable operational authorisation. Licence fees are separate unless a quotation explicitly includes them.
