Planned features and scope

A small network with a defined purpose

Compact is our planned entry package for a small indoor LTE data network. It uses one tested NeutrinoE224 Band 40 cell and is intended for a clearly defined coverage area with existing power, suitable backhaul and straightforward cable routes.

We will check the devices, traffic and site before recommending it. It is a data package; voice, messaging and more complex application integration are separate projects.

Choose your core

The local-core option includes one supplied core computer. You own the supplied equipment and can run the network without a compulsory monthly management subscription. The quote will state the computer specification, software setup, handover and restore materials.

The hosted option connects the site to a Lodestar-hosted core and adds £49 per month for the agreed core access and management. It needs a working connection between the site and Lodestar. The quote will state subscriber controls, traffic routing and any service limits.

What the installation includes

The planned package includes one tested E224 cell, the agreed gateway and PoE supply, straightforward mounting, a short cabling allowance, configuration and agreed LTE data acceptance tests. The local option also includes the specified core computer and agreed backup or power-protection provision.

The final quotation will list the exact radio and firmware, core arrangement, gateway, power supply, mounting and cabling allowance, supported devices and commissioning tests. Radio capacity and coverage depend on the site and the authorised settings.

Delivery, SIMs, spectrum fees, customer devices, travel, surveys, extensive wiring, specialist access and redundant equipment are separate unless included in the final itemised quotation.

Support after installation

A local core remains customer-operated unless you choose a management service. Hosted pricing includes the agreed core service and a defined business-hours support allowance. Hardware warranty, updates, support time and any additional engineering rates will be stated before ordering opens.

What you could use it for

  • A small workshop or lab with compatible LTE data devices.
  • Testing an IP device or application on a controlled network.
  • A defined indoor coverage area with modest traffic requirements.
  • A simple starting point before a separately scoped expansion.

Spectrum and compatible equipment

Radio installations need the appropriate spectrum authorisation for the location, power and intended use. Operational indoor Band 40 projects can be assessed under the applicable indoor licensing route.

Innovation and Research or Demonstration and Trial licences may suit an agreed temporary test or demonstration. They do not establish authorisation for a permanent operational service. Licence fees and supported equipment will be stated in the quotation.

Discuss your requirements.

Tell us your intended use, location and equipment. We will explain the planned options and what needs checking before launch.
