Calling features on every plan
Caller display
Caller display will be included with every plan. A compatible handset can show the caller's number when the caller makes it available.
Call forwarding
Call forwarding is not currently available and is outside the included calling bundle. Available destinations, controls and charges will be published before forwarding is enabled.
Control chargeable calls
Home PAYG will use purchased credit for chargeable outgoing calls. Credit will not expire while the line remains active. There is no connection fee: the 2p minimum is the total minimum cost of a chargeable call, not an extra charge. A five-minute call at 1p/min costs 5p.
PIN-protected Free Call Only mode
This control is designed to block chargeable outgoing calls with PIN protection. Supported controls and setup instructions will be confirmed before orders open.
Calls to 999, 112, 111, 101, 105, designated 116 services, 0800, 0808 and other Lodestar users will cost £0.00 with no minimum charge. A zero credit balance will not block them. They still require working SIP service, power, internet and equipment.
Call blocking and spending limits
084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers will be blocked. International calling will stay switched off until you request access and set a spending limit for chargeable calls.
Home Unlimited will include 100 pooled minutes to the selected destinations in the rate card. Included calls will cost £0.00 with no connection fee or minimum charge. Other international destinations will remain blocked until their rates are published.
Calls that always cost £0.00
The special and freephone numbers listed above will not be blocked because of the selected plan or a zero balance. This does not guarantee availability during a power cut, internet failure, equipment fault or Lodestar outage.
Phones, devices and adapters
The service is designed for up to three compatible devices ringing together. A device can be a suitable SIP desk phone, DECT base or app. An adapter can connect a compatible analogue phone. Supported configurations will be confirmed before ordering opens.
Bring compatible equipment
You provide your phone equipment, router, optical network terminal where required, broadband service and power. Check the supported-equipment details before choosing a device.
